In fall 2022 I had the great pleasure of giving a typography and screen printing workshop to school kids at the Youth Research Center Petnica in Valjevo, Western Serbia. With the topic that was given, they should not only develop a custom typeface but also generate the content. The result was then screen printed by them and compiled together into a fancy design magazine. And the result is just WOW! I am amazed at how excellent the work has become. I’m super proud of them!
I started screen printing quite late at the end of my studies at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. I am all the more happy that I was able to show this beautiful printing technique to very young people. Whether it survives the digital age is then up to them.

I drove by car from Bosnia & Herzegovina to Kärsämäki, a sleepy little town in central Finland, to open my own fashion store and sell clothes to no one.
